Privacy Policy

Cleanup Today has no developer-run accounts, advertising, analytics, or backend servers. Your photos and videos stay in your photo library.

Effective April 5, 2026

Overview

Cleanup Today is a camera roll cleanup app. It does not use developer-run accounts, analytics, advertising, or backend servers. Your photos and videos stay on your device. The app only deletes items you select through Apple’s photo library APIs.

Data We Do Not Collect

Cleanup Today does not require an account and does not use third-party analytics, tracking, advertising, or crash reporting SDKs. We do not receive copies of your photos, videos, cleanup history, or payment information, and we do not operate our own servers to collect that data.

Photo Library Access

The app requests access to your photo library using Apple’s PhotoKit framework. This access is used solely to display your photos and videos within the app and to delete items you explicitly select. The app does not copy or upload your photos and videos to us, and image analysis such as thumbnails and similar-photo detection happens on your device. When a photo or video includes location data, the app may send its coordinates to Apple’s geocoding service to show where it was taken; that lookup uses Apple’s systems and the coordinates are never sent to us.

Notifications

The app can send local notifications to remind you to clean up your camera roll. Notification preferences are stored locally on your device so the app can remember your settings. Notification content is created on-device and is not sent to us.

Purchases

In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. Cleanup Today does not process, store, or have access to payment information. Purchase records and entitlement restoration are managed by your Apple ID and Apple’s systems.

On-Device Storage and iCloud Sync

The app stores progress data such as completed days, streaks, and cleanup statistics locally on your device using UserDefaults and the iOS Keychain. It also uses Apple’s iCloud key-value storage to sync a limited subset of progress data across your devices when iCloud is available. That sync is handled by Apple and also includes your free-trial start date, so your trial follows your Apple ID instead of restarting on each device. Your photos and videos are never synced or uploaded, and device-specific settings stay on the device where you set them.

Apple Services

Cleanup Today uses Apple frameworks and services such as PhotoKit, UserNotifications, StoreKit, Keychain, WidgetKit, and iCloud key-value storage to provide core app features. Information Apple processes to provide those services is governed by Apple’s own privacy policies and terms.

Third-Party Services

Cleanup Today does not use non-Apple third-party SDKs, analytics services, crash reporters, or advertising networks.

Children’s Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
